
Riyadh - Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) handed out the Ebtker Award to six Saudi companies, qualifying them for the finals of the Entrepreneurship World Cup (EWC), the authority revealed in a statement.
Out of 29 companies, the winners received financial prizes amounting to SAR 300,000.
The Ebtker Award aims to foster an innovative culture in the Kingdom and contribute to the growth of the national economy, in addition to discovering innovative enterprises and encouraging their growth, expansion, support, empowerment, and access to local and global innovation partners.
The previous editions of the award provided an avenue for over 3,000 innovative enterprises to showcase their projects to the judging panel. Among them, more than 170 enterprises successfully advanced to the final stages, benefiting from approximately 56 workshops and over 1,500 hours of training.
Monsha’at offered a full suite of benefits to qualify innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the final stages, including enrolment in the Innovative Growth Program that was designed to enhance enterprises by connecting them with specialized consultants and trainers in various fields such as operations, technology, and finance through an intensive training camp.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia is set to host the final qualifiers of the EWC 2024 competition with the participation of entrepreneurs from more than 200 countries around the world.
